I am a sucker for a delicious drink, and beautiful beverage photography stops me in my tracks every time. It doesn’t matter if it’s tea, a cocktail, or plain old water. If it’s gorgeous I want to drink it.

I have a feeling you will be as in awe of these brilliant photographs of drinks as I am. And feel free to share what your favorite beverage is in the comments. My morning ritual is iced green tea, but I’ve been scarfing down loads of herbal and mushroom teas lately.

Daria Kalugina – Russian food photographer who sets up feats of gravity-defying wizardry with her shots.

beverage photography - hand pouring pink frothy liquid into a ceramic cup of pink latte

Did you drop dead when you saw this photo? It’s like the most beautiful thing I’ve ever laid eyes on, from the ceramics, to the background, but obviously the styling, the pink and grey, and THAT LIGHT. Sarah/@sculptedkitchen

Anja Burgar of Use Your Noodles – her food photography classes look amazing and I love how she openly shares tons of little photo tips in her Instagram feed. Like when she played with using the harsh light from a nearby window in a dark room, and found the little “light pocket” to place this drink in.

Gulia is a Chicago-based food photographer, and her photos are like scrolling through a carnival of wild food stories!

hand pouring purple tea into little glass cocktail glasses - beverage photography

I found myself stopping on this one because it’s like a soothing purple drink tea party. It was interesting to read in her caption that she felt this was harsh lighting. I see it as so soft and delicate. Definitely lighter light than most of her feed, but still beautiful.

Yes, there is a recipe for this plum liqueur by Lick The Plate. It’s adapted from her father’s recipe! This detail alone makes me want to brew some up, and I also need that gorgeous glass it’s

simple glass of iced earl grey tea

Proof that you can have a beautiful beverage photograph with zero props, this iced Earl Grey latte from Oh, How Civilized relies on its soft lighting, soft horizon line, soft foam topping, and the pop of warmth from the tea for interest.

beverage photography of glass of beverage with fig and thyme in it

I love Hello Glow. It’s one of my favorite sites, ever, and now I want to try this sparkling fig & honey cocktail, especially since she starts the post off writing about how healthy it is. Well, at least the fig part.

And as for the photo, those wonky sprigs of thyme are perfect to set this photo apart from others, and the little blurs of figs carry your eye right around the whole frame. A++ for composition!

3 styled christmas cocktails - beverage photography with candied rosemary

Mmmmmmm Cranberry bourbon sour. This is all holiday warm glowy coziness ini one little photo. Especially with the addition of candied rosemary, which resembles a pine tree with a free dusting of snow. My god. Pure Christmas cocktail brilliance.

glasses of blackberry shrub cocktail

Oh, I keep forgetting about trying to make shrubs! I have to admit, I’m a little scared of the apple cider vinegar, ever since I tried to do a shot of it. I’m decidedly not an ACV person, but I have a feeling shrubs are more palatable what with all that sugar. This one is a blackberry basil shrub from Taste Love and Nourish.

Well this was fun! You can bet I’ll find more beverage photography to share with you in the future; there’s something so beautiful and enticing about a well-styled-and-photographed bunch of drinks.
